Management

Wymeswold Preschool is a not-for-profit organisation and registered with the Charities Committee. It is run by an elected volunteer committee made up of parents and carers. The committee are responsible for reviewing both policy and practice, the employment and appraisal of members of staff and for managing finances, including fundraising. Our Annual General Meeting which is open to all parents, is held in November. Parents will be informed in good time so they are able to attend to receive annual reports and to elect the committee for the following year.

A copy of the constitution of Wymeswold Preschool is available; please ask a member of staff if you would like to see a copy. Preschool meetings are usually held four times a year to organise fundraising events and to discuss any major issues affecting our preschool. We need a committee of parents in order that preschool can run. We therefore ask all new parents to consider joining the committee. If you would like to know more about what this would involve, please contact a committee member, a list of current members are available on the table in the corridor. Alternatively please speak to any member of staff.

Fees

(Currently £15) per 3hr session & (£5.50 for lunch club) Fees are payable in advance; invoices are issued at the beginning of term by the Treasurer via email. All fees are due within 14 days of receipt of invoice. Fees continue to be payable in the event of short-term absence or absence without notice. Each child’s place at preschool is conditional upon continued payment of fees in a timely manner. If you are experiencing financial difficulties please speak in confidence to the preschool Leader or the Treasurer as there may be other options available.

Funding starts in the term after their third birthday. 2 Year old funding is also available for parents on low incomes. From April 2024 2 year olds from working families will now be eligible for 15 hours a week.  If you require any further information on funding options, please contact preschool staff or visit the government website.
